Bradley APC: How to Take Down Launch Site's Tank

The Bradley APC patrols Launch Site and hits hard. Here's how organized groups actually bring it down.

The Bradley APC is an armored NPC vehicle that patrols Launch Site, one of Rust's largest monuments. It's a serious threat on its own and a major reason Launch Site runs are treated as high-risk, high-reward.

What Makes It Dangerous

The Bradley is heavily armored and armed, capable of quickly punishing players who approach carelessly or stay in the open too long. It patrols a set route around Launch Site and will engage anyone it detects within range.

How Players Typically Take It Down

Rockets are the standard tool for destroying it, and coordinated groups usually approach from cover, firing in bursts rather than standing exposed to its return fire. Timing your engagement around its patrol route (rather than fighting it head-on in the open) reduces the amount of return damage you take.

The Loot

Destroying the Bradley typically drops a meaningful reward — components, weapons, and sometimes higher-tier blueprints — which is exactly why groups organize specifically to hunt it despite the risk and explosive cost involved.

Is It Worth Attempting Solo?

It's possible with the right setup, but considerably riskier than doing it as a coordinated group — solo attempts leave you more exposed to both the Bradley itself and any other players drawn to Launch Site by the same opportunity.

What's the best weapon against the Bradley APC?

Rockets are the standard choice — its armor is heavy enough that lighter weapons aren't practical for bringing it down efficiently.

Is it safe to fight the Bradley in the open?

Not really — it hits hard, and standing exposed to trade damage is a good way to lose your kit fast. Fighting from cover, exposing yourself only to fire, is the safer approach.

Do other players usually contest a Bradley kill?

Very often, yes — Launch Site draws a lot of traffic specifically because of the Bradley and the monument's own loot, so expect potential PvP on top of the APC fight itself.

Is the loot worth the explosive cost?

For an organized group with rockets to spare, generally yes — the reward is built to match the difficulty. For an underprepared solo player, the cost-to-reward ratio is much less favorable.
